Based on the Manx folktale ‘The Silver Cup’, the painting depicts the moment when the farmer has taken the cup after the Mooinjer Veggey stole his cattle. The farmer runs as fast as his feet will carry him, however, the tricky Mooinjer Veggey are in hot pursuit.
