Old Fire Station Update
The Old Fire Station off Farrants Way remains in the ownership of the Department of Home Affairs however transfer to the town is at an advanced stage following delays in the conveyancing process.
On 6th June 2018 an advert was placed in the local press seeking expressions of interest for the use of the site by interested parties with a number of applications being considered by the Board.
A planning application has now been submitted in relation to create a community craft brewery and multi use event space whilst formalizing public parking to the side of the side of the site.
