2026 World Tin Bath Championships
Since first launching in 1971, the World Tin Bath Championships has become one of the Isle of Man’s most iconic summer traditions. Held in Middle Harbour in Castletown, the event sees competitors from the Island and beyond race around Castletown harbour in specially adapted tin baths—some impressively engineered, others hilariously less seaworthy.
Organised by the Castletown Real Ale Drinkers Society, the championships combine sport, creativity, and plenty of slapstick entertainment, with crowd favourites including the solo races, the famous Snake Race, and attempts at human-powered flight. More than just a spectacle, the event has raised hundreds of thousands of pounds for local charities over its 50+ year history.
Entries for the 2026 event are now open on the website at https://worldtinbath.com/enter-online/
